I've been having internet connection issues all week

Thus the nonexistent posting. I think I need better filters, or a better Internet Service Provider.

I checked out Aroma Net Cafe, in KGH, but didn't stay. They offer metered Internet Access (and in fact metered computer usage, which includes Microsoft Office) for $7.50 for one hour (less per hour for two and three hours.) It is an upscale cafe, with coffee and muffins, etc., and a bunch of computers lining the walls. Perhaps useful in a pinch for Internet access, but I doubt many will use it, having home internet in KGH, or being able to use the library's internet access for free. There is still the cafe aspect of it, of course.

I just got the latest value-added spam from Aish. I typically don't mind it, usually just deleting it. But if they are a kiruv site, they should consider what sites are advertising with them, and that carrying an ad implies endorsement of the product. This one was for kabbalah bracelets and the like. Unless they did give it thought -- I am giving them the benefit of the doubt that they did not.

Finally, an interesting post, and comments, on Hirhurim about a review of Dr. Tamar Ross' book, and her response. Slightly related, my feelings are that feminist approaches to halacha make as much sense as feminist approaches to linear algebra. (This is admittedly nonobvious.) Then again, see the Sokal Affair. :)

A number of frum sites sell space to Google ads or some such equivalent, so they are not in control of the content. Some of the ads feature links to what would doubtless embarrass the site owners.
